The Pomeranian is a small yet spirited toy breed known for its fluffy double coat, foxlike face, and confident personality. Originally bred from larger sled-pulling dogs in the Pomerania region (now part of Germany and Poland), these dogs were scaled down in size over time, especially during the 18th century when Queen Victoria favored a smaller version.

Key Characteristics:

• Size: Weighs between 3 to 7 pounds (1.4 to 3.2 kg) and stands about 6 to 7 inches (15–18 cm) tall at the shoulder.

• Coat & Colors: Features a dense, long double coat with a ruff around the neck and a plume-like tail. They come in a wide range of colors, including orange, black, white, cream, sable, and blue merle

• Temperament: Despite their small size, Pomeranians are alert, intelligent, and often act larger than they are. They are affectionate, lively, and can be vocal, making them excellent watchdogs

• Exercise & Grooming: Require moderate grooming due to their thick coat and benefit from regular exercise, including short walks and playtime.

• Lifespan: Typically live between 12 to 16 years, making them long-lived companions.
